BamaOnLine was launched in June 1996 by Shannon Terry and was the first fan site on the Rivals.com network.
Led by publisher Tim Watts, BamaOnLine grew to more than 10,000 members and became the largest fan site on Rivals.
BamaOnLine was eventually purchased by Watts and moved to 247Sports, where the site continued to extend its market lead from 2011 until 2023. Now BOL is partnered with On3!
