Description
Heather Ellis is an Australian motorcycle adventurer and author.
Ubuntu: one woman's motorcycle odyssey across Africa (Black Inc, 2016) details her epic journey over 15 months, through 19 countries riding 42,000kms from south to north Africa during 1993/1994. After working as a motorcycle courier in London, in 1997, Heather rode her Yamaha TT600 home to Australia via Europe, Central Asia and by train through China. Timeless On The Silk Road (Phonte, 2019) is Heather's latest book. Both books are best sellers on Amazon. You can purchase signed copies from www.heather-ellis.com.
Heather is a single mum with three boys and in 2026, when her youngest, twins aged 16 years, are making their own way in the world, instead of retiring, Heather at age 62 will pack her beloved Yamaha TT600 and head to South America. But in the meantime and while riding her Triumph Thruxton 900, she'll be rebuilding the TT and hopes you'll 'ride with me' on her adventures here in Australia.
