Alexander Fleming, known professionally as Black Atlass, first gained attention in 2013 with his debut single 'Paris,' showcasing his versatility by pairing an acoustic piano version with the original electronic mix. This duality hinted at the boundary-pushing artistry that would define his career. In 2015, he appeared on Action Bronson's critically acclaimed Mr. Wonderful, further cementing his place in the industry.
Fleming’s career took a major turn in 2018 when he signed with The Weeknd’s XO Records. That year, he collaborated with Jessie Reyez on the haunting 'Sacrifice' for the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack, which quickly amassed millions of streams. He also released his debut album Pain & Pleasure, earning critical acclaim and a Juno nomination.
In 2020, Black Atlass released Dream Awake, solidifying his genre-defying reputation. In 2022, he released Infinite, his most ambitious work to date, under his own label, continuing to blend genres and defy expectations in modern music.
