Hi! My name is Jens and this is my scale modeling channel

I started into the hobby in 1976 (1/72 aircraft), but I switched to armour models (1/35) in 1981. My beginnings go even further back, when my dad helped me building civilian aircraft kits.

My favourite kits still are old Italeri and Tamiya ones, not only for nostalgic reasons, but also because they're a great base for scratch building and extra detailing.

2016 was a historical year for me, because I got my first airbrush and compressor. I painted everything by paint brush before and I liked doing it, but the airbrush was a giant step forward. I wouldn't want to go back to hairy sticks anymore – unless for all weathering steps. My approach is still pretty old school, but I like it like that.
