Ivory Keys for Cancer

Description

Ivory Keys for Cancer is a charity piano concert dedicated to cancer research and patients support. It was the brainchild of Ms. Mei Zhi Bi and her late husband Mr. Hua An Shen. The concert features the most talented, award winning piano students of Mei Zhi and Hua An. As an event mainly organized by students, Ivory Keys for Cancer provides not only a stage to young people to show their talents and the joy of music, but more importantly for them to understand their social responsibilities and provide them an opportunity to give back to the society.

The first Ivory Keys for Cancer Concert was held in 2007. The recurring concert was subsequently held in 2008, 2009, 2011, then temporarily paused for 7 years due to the health conditions of Hua An. It resumed in 2018 and this year (2019) marks the 6th Ivory Keys for Cancer Concert. All proceeds from the concerts go to Canadian Cancer Society.
