'I sing, therefore I am.'

"Boricua de pura cepa," she says proudly, having been born and raised in the island of Puerto Rico. She started her singing education while in high school taking extracurricular lessons in The Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico and discovered musical theatre in the School of Performing Arts.

She did her bachelor's degree in Barnard College of Columbia University in Manhattan in New York City. She majored in ethnomusicology, a social science with an anthropological approach to music history and how music affects culture and society. She now lives in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her first release, "Amar en Secreto," explores the ideas of love and independence at the same time, being true to yourself, and being strong even though others may wrong you, all which are central points in Luxana's vision.

Her second single "Reina" was released January 2021 and marks the beginning of her journey of creating songs to empower women and spread joy.
