This "YouTube" thing seemed pretty cool to me a few years ago when I first started checking it out. Lots of cool people and vids to see. I started checking out people's cover tunes with some friends over beers and starting rolling around the idea of putting a video or two of my own on.

I found that it was much more fun to do collab projects with other tubers.
