Description

Tethered Hands is a solo post-rock project by Joseph D. E. Phillips. Joseph plays piano and writes, records and mixes his own music. His 2023 debut album, "The Futile Toil of Tethered Hands", was an amalgamation of his early post-rock experiments. The album was featured by the "World Has Post-Rock" YouTube channel, further boosting his visibility. The 2024 sequel, "Selenium" exhibits a matured Tethered Hands that has finally found its voice. The sequel album dives steadfastly into orchestral post-rock with the piano as its anchor, featuring ambient soundscapes, contemplative build-ups, and emotional crescendos. Brighton guitarist, Daniel Rickards, was brought on to help complete the ambitious, finale track, "Tonight the World is Ending, Tonight We Say Goodbye".
