hi friends

i was born in 1951 in the town of kidderminster, worcestershire, england. my mother and father, of polish decent, landed in england after world war two. my father served in the polish army for 18 years and my mother escaped from a russian labor camp. they met in kidderminster and had four children. my oldest brother drowned at age six when i was four, a tragedy for our family forever. in 1960, at the age of eight, our family came to the united states, on the giant ocean liner "queen elizabeth". we ended up in chicago in a section called "wicker park". i got to experience a very tough part of city life through out all of my youth. somehow we survived some very scary times in chicago. all my education was from chicago public schools. at age twelve i received my first guitar from my granny for five dollars. that was 1964. you tube came in to my life and this channel is a wonderful outlet for me to sing and play. peace, rich
