The museum was founded by the late Jerry Joe Jacobson, former owner of the Ohio Central Railroad, and contains his private collection of steam locomotives and rolling stock as well as others that the Museum has acquired since his passing. The Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum is under the operation of the Jerry and Laura Jacobson Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit entity.
