I have always had a passion for history. Metal detecting is just an extension of that pursuit. Weather it be old coins or artifacts, anything that ties the object to the site we dig is welcome in my search of the past. I am always amazed as to how rich the soil is laden with items humankind has lost.My first 2 years of detecting have been done swinging the Fisher CZ7a. Iv'e made some outstanding finds with this detector, including a $7000 diamond ring. In 2013 I start anew with the Minelab Excaliber II. I purchased this detector from Kellyco with the desire to do lake shallows and beaches. I might even go back over some of the ball fields Iv'e previously been to see if I missed any deeper targets.
New Update, just got a Minelab X-Terra 705 for dry land hunts and it's awesome already. Scored silver earring on only second target!
