Making my first Indie Game, one step at a time!
Once I found out it was possible to make a video game solo without buying any software I started learning Programming & Modeling in June 2018 (no prior experience with either). I watched comparison videos of various Game Engines and Modeling Software and eventually decided to go with Unity3D and Blender. I use this channel to track my progress and find ways to improve a little bit everyday. There is and will always be more to learn!
The Ultimate Goal
Create a game which combines the best elements (in my opinion) from my all-time favorite games.
Harvest Moon - Farming, Animals, Animal Races, Festivals, Energy & Day/Night, Social
Diablo 2 - Attributes, Skill System & Loot!!
Fable - Morality, Reputation
Skyrim/Fallout - Stealth, Lock picking, Stealing, XP through Skill usage
Other Inspirations
Path of Exile - Skill Tree
Fantasy Life - Classes & Attributes which benefit each class
