OWLS Kentucky began 2002 w/ a purchase of 70 acres. Realizing that would not be enough for all we plan to accomplish, we added 200+ more, then 60 more, & 60+ more. We went into debt for the last 66 acres to stop ruthless hunters/poachers from buying it. Three days after taking the loan the exact amount needed & owed to us for almost 20 years appeared in our mailbox. Faith! Karma.

We use less than 1% of the land, leaving the rest to forest, field & wildlife.

Pond Permaculture: Currently improving 4 wildlife ponds

Pets & Wildlife: Our ❤️’s are dedicated to 2 German Shepherds, 4 Parrots, wild creatures like deer, coyote, fox, skunk, turkey, rabbit ground hog, possum. Creating safe havens for them to run/fly free year round.
