Nat King Cole is one of the pillars of jazz and R & B US. Crooner mastering piano and voice with the same mastery, he knows the glory between 1940 and 1950.
He grew up in a family strongly marked by religion. Very young, he showed a predisposition for music. Convinced over the years by his voice, the King Cole Trio asserts itself in 1945 with an eponymous album marking his accession to the top of the charts.
"(I Love You) For Sentimental Reason" or "The Christmas Song" become unavoidable in the work of Nat King Cole. For the first time, a black artist is unanimous on the American scene. "Nature Boy" in 1948 sits this takeover. "Mona Lisa" (1950) and "Too Young" (1951) reinforce some legend of an artist who now performs solo. Active in the fight for civil rights of the black community, his career brutally stop by a throat cancer. Just before recording his latest album "LOVE" (1964).
