Pittsburgh, Pa rapper Zio is considered a "Jack Of All Trades" writing for himself and others, producing videos, and dabbing into the engineering of tracks. The love of music turned into a hobby in 2007 at the age of 17 dropping his first ever studio recording "Bulletproof" (video directed by DJ Schizophrenic) the track captured the attention of Dwayne Muhammad founder of the Pittsburgh Hip Hop Awards. 5 months after the release Zio became nominated as "The Best Male" hip hop artist with Wiz Khalifa. 2008-2009 Zio obtained over 20,000 fans and almost 900,000 hits via Myspace. With a diverse family bloodline (Puerto Rican, Mexican, Italian) his family was scattered both in the hard areas of the city and also the outskirts of the city which exposed him to various elements. Tracklists vary and can swing from a "trap" banger to a melodic party anthem which helps develop a unique identity with new fans. After touring Europe and Central America Zio finally settled in Nashville, TN. Currently
