HELPS is a nonprofit consumer debt law firm and 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We serve clients in all 50 states. We protect and educate senior citizens, veterans, and disabled persons struggling with debt like credit card and medical bills, payday loans, and recreational vehicle loans they can no longer afford to pay.

HELPS cannot assist with non-debt-related issues. HELPS does not litigate any cases in state court. We cannot dispute the legitimacy of debt or help file responses to lawsuits. HELPS is not bankruptcy. We cannot modify mortgages. HELPS is not debt management or debt settlement. HELPS represents its clients to stop unwanted debt collector contact. Our clients do not deal with debt collector harassment while they use protected Social Security, pensions, VA benefits, and disability income for their needs.
