Jesus in Matthew 11 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Romans 10 "If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."

Matthew 6:33 "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Proverbs 3: "Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil."

The consequences of sin is death but Jesus died in our place so those who genuinely believe receive God's mercy and eternal life. Evil doesn't want anyone to receive that peace.
