Description

Keeping the Piece is a Defensive Handgun Training Organization based in Cenral KY. Owner and lead Instructor, Colleene Barnett, specializes in training women to develop a defensive mindset and then apply that thinking to the handling of personal defense weapons. There is an emphasis on concealed carry and handguns.

In January 2014, the Barnetts adopted a baby girl and Colleene is staying home with her full time. Currently, she is making videos for this channel, her baby-blogging channel entitled "BarnettBabys123s", and teaching co-Ed and Ladies Only Concealed Carry Courses. Currently she is not offering either private instruction or Defensive Pistol I, II, or II courses. These may resume down the road.
